сущ. киль , - дубовый четырехгранный брус, находящийся в основании деревянного судна. По длине киль составляется из нескольких отдельных брусьев, соединяемых между собою в замок. Киль с боков имеет шпунты, к которым прилегают первые поясья (шпунтовые) деревянной обшивки.
